About LearnMed

Learnmed is a site created for everyone in the medical community to share and expand their knowledge.  Some of the tools we provide on the site are described below.

Articles

Articles is the 'wiki' of LearnMed.  Any member on the website can create a new article about any topic in medicine.  Each of these articles can then be colllaboratively edited by anyone in the community.  This allows each article to be rapidly updated keeping each artice up to date with the latest information available.  From time to time, there will be conflicts between members regarding certain topics and as such each article will have a Talk page where discussions or debates can take place.

Forums

Like many other sites, LearnMed provides a forum where online discussions can take place.  The forums are separated into different categories and topics to make it easier to browse.  Anything can be posted here from a simple, "how does this work?" question, to a discussion about the latest journal article.

Blogs

The ability to create an individual blog is also given to every member on the webiste.  It allows anyone to share their thoughts on a topic, a picture and more.  It's whatever you want it to be and doesn't have to be limited to medicine.  All the newest blog entries are listed in our blog page, and the facility is available as well to people who wish to follow the thoughts of a particular user.
